I'm a fan of Joe Hisaishi, and "Asian Dream Song" has always been one of my favorite songs by him (outside of what he's done for Studio Ghibli). I didn't know it had lyrics. Because I don't know how to speak Japanese, I looked for a translation into my native language (I'm Mexican, I speak spanish) and... Wow! The lyrics are so inspirational! I suppose the lyrics are like that because it was for a sports competition, but the lyrics can also serve as motivation for anyone in general. It motivates you to keep going despite life's difficulties. My favorite part is: 夢をつかむ者たちよ 君だけの花を咲かせよう 夢をつかむ者たちよ 君だけの花を咲かせよう (In spanish: Los que atrapan sueños Deja que tu propia flor florezca Los que atrapan sueños Deja que tu propia flor florezca) Oh my God!!! The song teaches that we must let the flowers of our dreams grow and bloom. Even though those dreams seem impossible. Thank you, Joe Hisaishi!!!! Greetings from Mexico!!!
