I thought I would give some of my opinions on the workout series to help you guys out from a marching drummers perspective. The green logix with marching sticks feels like a mix between a real feel and a slim pad with an only gum rubber surface. With concert sticks it feels okay but not very satisfying. It does have a very good rebound similar to a mylar marching snare head but not kevlar. The red storm feels REALLY good. With concert sticks and marching sticks it gives a a real good feel like its a drum (from a drumset). it consists of 1/2 foam on the bottom and 1/2 gum rubber on top and it feels really nice and natural. it reminds me of a slightly softer real feel. It is my personal favorite. The blue lightning was not for me personally. It is basically a slim pad with foam instead of gum rubber so basically it feels very similar to the underside of a slim pad. It's not great with marching sticks but decent with concert sticks in my opinion. Lots of people do enjoy this pad though and it's very quiet. The blackout actually felt pretty good. It feels good with any sticks and is extremely quiet. It feels like a floor tom pretty much some it won't have very much rebound but its just enough that it feels good. It consists of a half inch or so of harder foam. this one feels better than the blue lightning in my opinion. I personally bought the 2 pack that have a playing surface on each side which is around 60-70 dollars and is a great deal if you want to wait to see what you prefer when getting a bigger pad from Prologix. This is a great company and I would highly recommend their workout series.

@@longandmcquade Do you have a complete list of stands/models so I can replicate this?
@mattmarkus48684 жыл бұрын
@@handler803 great question. so frustrating. this is called a kit and I was expecting stands. Now all I want to know is what exactly do I buy to replicate this. There's a million stands and attachments out there. I don't have time to experiment, I just want to know (but buying the complete setup would be ideal)

We know you're being facetious, but if you've ever been to NAMM or any convention centre during an event with 100,000+ people inside, you'd understand how loud it is in there. Especially in the drum section of Hall D. We were stoked to pick up the quiet tapping of the practice pads with our mics at all! If the sounds of the practice pads were any louder, they wouldn't be any good!

The Practikit is a 5-piece set of pads for $335. The hardware (Pearl) and cymbals (Zildjian Low Volume) are sold separately.

@@longandmcquade are they all snare stands, what adjustments or accessories do you need? I don’t want to buy stuff and then realize the pads don’t connect to whatever arm or stand or accessory I randomly choose.

@@longandmcquade it would be really helpful to show how to put a practice pad kit together. There are almost no videos on this. It might be easy if you’re familiar with all the gear but many are not and the options seem endless.

I just purchased the 4-pad package with the bass drum pad from ProLogix. I notice there are threaded holes for mounting these pad!. Can you tell me what I can use for stands with these holes? I bought 4 hh stands and that was a waste because I cannot get the height levels I need (particularly for the high hat). I need to know what I stand parts I can screw in to have these pads on stands. In this video, there's a tiny one in the back I see for a split second and it shows a rod on a stand sticking into a pad. What is that? There are dozens of stands/brands out there, but I don't know what to get that will work. I want one of my pads to be set like a hi hat above and to the left of my "snare" pad.

Is anyone allowed to go to NAMM?
@longandmcquade5 жыл бұрын
No, it is a closed trade show. Only manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, retailers, etc attend NAMM, as well as media personnel, endorsers and artists. If you know anyone who does attend, you can be an invited guest, but it's not like other conventions where anyone can purchase a ticket to attend.
@adamjacksonmedia3 жыл бұрын
It’s not a practice kit. They are simply selling 4 practice pads, and telling you, the customer, to buy and build your own kit.

Quiet cymbals are pretty good substitute practice cymbals. Any practice pad is a ‘cymbal practice pad,’ Just mount it at the position and angle where you prefer Cymbals, and there you are. Hi hats are another issue…

The best practice pads on the market today - I love the overlays, the brush surface overlay, softer rubber overlay, the variety is fantastic.
