Watching you cut down that tree with such precision is impressive. Great job on the safe handling of the chainsaw!

I worked as a professional tree faller.I have cut down about 10,000 trees. This guy didn't cut the scarf/wedge at the front of the tree anywhere big enough. It should be 1/3 the diameter of the tree. His was about 1/8.Had he cut it to 1/3 he wouldn't have had to tap in any wedges on the back cut. And walking in front of the tree at 7:11 was madness. The tree was ready to fall at any second and he could have been killed

Looking through his other vids, it looks like very shallow & narrow face cuts is standard practice for the crew. I'm about as amateur as it gets, but is there a benefit to doing all those plunge cuts? Just never seen that before.

They plunge cut he did from 2:00 and working to the back of the tree was a harder way to do it but no danger in it.I always start from back and work towards the scarf.Operating the saw my way(and the way most pro's would do it)is so much easier.Over the day my way will save you a lot of energy. Its a hard enough job as it is without doing it in a more difficult technique with no benefit @@smeagolmazurenko5238
