這曲真是改得好，陸登夫死守城門，但昏君還在宮中晚晚苼歌，陸登夫婦共全亡，兒子逃走時，被耶律齊刧走，因他沒有子女，便當自己兒子，陸文龍長大後，奶娘告訴他真相，才知自己認賊作父，忠孝二難全，殺不下手，但念父母為死守城樓，雙雙被元兵殺死，忠孝二難全，最後不忍殺死養育他十八年的養育之思，

睇過好多老倌或唱曲名家演繹這曲, 都系這個版本最好, 雖是20年前制作, 但仍是眾多板本中最好的一個, 彭哥聲線最有小武格, 女姐聲靚身段好已不用再多贊, 最少今次陸登出場是打敗仗, 不像一些其他演繹者咁威武是較為合理的.
