Where do you live? In the US longans are grown in Florida, Chinese supermarkets have them near the end of summer and mid autumn, now it is getting to the peak season. It’s sweet and translucent, some like it better than lychees.

Grandma, you are a hardworking person. When I see you pick up the longan, I miss my family much. Long time ago, my garden had a longan tree. That longan tree had a lot of longan fruits. When we harvested longan we shared them to our neighbors. But 18 years ago, my longan tree was broken down by a strong typhoon. Really sad . It was not only a longan , it was our childhood beautiful memory.
