The music is absolutely soul touching. The dancer’s delicate and exquisite moves resemble a beautiful fragile bird in the middle of a windy stormy sky. Simply sublime! Thank you very much for the video ❤️❤️❤️

These dances are 90% the use of the costume, notably the sleeves, and the props.

About geisha and maiko...i think they 're dancers not also actors

Unfortunately i'm still ignorant too about kabuki..i thought they were only actors and not dancers too.are they in tokjo,here?

Kabuki has many dances as well. The dancer in this story was portraying a heron spirit or maiden that dies in the end. This is still acting. In kabuki you have to be one with the characters they are playing.

This is the longest dance I have so far seen by one individual. Is she a Meiko, Geisha or Oiran? I get the impression that she emulates something dying? I love this even tho' I don't claim to understand it.

Leslie Baker This is one of the famous Kabuki repertoires, all of which are to be performed by only male actors. But I guess he is not a Kanuki actor but a dancer. If you like it, I recommend you watch some Kabuki shows performed by BANDO Tamasaburo.

@@dumchin Thank you, I understand far better now. I have watched several of his performances. I play bass guitar and ukulele, but have recently acquired a new zhongruan, even tho' it is actually a Chinese instrument.

This is Sagi Musume, story of the heron (a bird) maiden. In the end they die. Kabuki normally do better hikinuki changes than this, but to me I think this is a dance troupe not a Kabuki actor because this was a woman dancing. So this was not an Onnagata performer.
