Apparently, there was an earlier film based on The Odyssey which was released in 1905!

Considering the time period, this was a respectable effort. I see that the sirens were portrayed as mermaids rather than bird women and some people may have an issue with that. I thought that Scylla looked awesome and intimidating. Amazing creature effects for 1911.

Peccato che manchino alcune parti ... i Lestrigoni, Circe, il riconoscimento di Euriclea e la morte di Argo ... Questo film resta comunque molto affascinante :)
