I really need to check this out because years ago Loreal had a beautiful line of reds for different actresses and I found one that I fell in love with that of course is discontinued! It was shade 405 Frieda's Red and it is just gorgeous. A TRUE cool toned beauty. It is years old, but still hanging on and I can't bear to part with her. If anyone knows if there is a dupe to my beloved in this line, please let me know.

If you don't mind a liquid lip, my absolute favorite cool-toned blue-based red lip is the Wet n Wild shade "Missy & Fierce" --- it's less than $5 and lasts all day with little to no transfer. I've repurchased at least 3 times now and may buy backups in case it ever gets discontinued.

​@@rachelathome7516 I think it's now called Devil's Matte- Vo- Cate. Same lipstick, different name. They still sell it in stores. So, to the woman above wanting a dupe, the actual same lipstick still exists, under a different name. The person above jogged my memory.❤😊

The bullet shape on these is really nice. It doesn't really make a difference as I usually apply my lipstick with a brush, but with the gold case, this gives it a very elegant, classic look. It looks very expensive.

Because I love deep reds and purples, I'm a fan of #5 and 6. The bullet shape looks interesting in theory, but I had a feeling that it would be problematic in application. And, yeah, until we can safely go maskless, I'll stick with either dry-down liquid lipsticks or a nude gloss or lipstick because these would definitely wind up all over my face!

Oof, yeah - for me personally, I think I'd resort to using a lip brush to apply these; even if that's more fussy, I'd prefer more control over such a strongly pigmented lip formula. I know I could put on a lip liner first but sometimes I still accidentally get outside the line no matter how careful I am, lol. Probably more trouble than it's worth, but I still appreciate that these reds are really comfortable to wear and would be more forgiving on dry lips.

Great to see so many nuanced shades but when you can't try them on it's really hard to know if you pick the best red.for you. That's the gamble that comes with drugstore purchases. Well in the US anyway. Other countries have sample displays. The more costly the makeup the less I'm inclined to take a gamble since there's no returns.

I know this video is old. But I just wanna say that I bought the shade Lovely Red and I do find that it does have some transfer resistance. It's not a ton, but it is there. It's creamy, but matte enough to stay on the lips awhile.

Target had these wrapped in a little Christmas gift box, I think for $6.99 or $7.99 each. I choose 188 and I haven’t worn it yet after I tried it. Very bold and I’m a little bit chicken to wear it.

I find that any red for me is high maintenance unless it is a true liquid lipstick that dries down completely.

I know, it really is a shame because the colors are beautiful, but I just can't get past the smell 😭
