2024 and just discovered these! I always avoided loreal because of the scent but these don't have it and it melts on my lips beautifully! Also for the first time in a while I was able to get a few shades as I'm whiteish/yellow and very hard to find shades that look good on me 😮

I guess the "wet appearance" after application is the oils melting due to your body temp. Looks like it would be a very comfortable product on the lips.

Maybe they become shiny because the warmth of your skin activated some of the solidified oil? No idea!

I love love and love 💕 lipstick. It’s really in midway from a balm and an lipstick. Of course it doesn’t stay like a standard lipstick but it’s hyper hydration factor plus shiny color. I always drink something water, tea, coffee,…so I am always reapplying but it’s fine, i love how it make my lips smooth like baby lips.

Allura Beauty, thanks for your honest reviews. 😀 Have you done an actual performance test on these lipsticks? Did you need to reapply often? Balmy/oily formulas disappear on my lips faster than lightning. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Those colors are too similar ;/ one thing that disappoints me in drugstore products is the color ranges. Its always bright colors and one maybe two nudes, most of the time it’s warm toned. :/ I’ll pass on these. May be someone else’s cup of tea though.

The nude was my personal favorite. However, I don't feel like the wear time will be very long. Almost like you'd have to reapply all day. Hmmm... not sure about this one.

kens mb I would rather re-apply a comfortable lipstick than have my lips cry because they are dry and worry if I have “lipstick crumbs” developing around the edges. It is harder to do do a dark or bright color, I understand-because you need a mirror.

@@teresamckeown5594 Exactly. Most mainstream liquid lippies especially the 'transfer proof' ones are a pain in the pucker for me for that borderline housepaint formula. A lot of then smell suspiciously like paint too. The extra staying power means they are an absolute struggle getting off your lips, no bueno when you're dead tired from a long shift. >.

I bought Subtle Primrose . It swatches pretty pigmented but you have to apply a lot. It wears off almost immediately and unevenly. Very “oily” but not hydrating at all. My lips actually dried out in the short time I had it on. I wouldn’t call this a lipstick at all and I have lip balms that wear much better. I love L’Oreal products and especially some of their lipsticks but this was a big miss.

So obviously the oils are released when used. I didn’t have a patchiness/unevenness application in the least. Also I don’t seem to notice the “floral scent” in L’Oréal cosmetics as others seem to mention; maybe I’m just not as “scent sensitive.”

Makeup companies are using "coral" to mean literally anything nowadays. It's really annoying.
