@@Mikasaxx0 To be fair pop music has and would always be popular since it’s literally short for popular music. But yeah you’re right. Hip hop took off in the 90s and continue to thrive. Kpop has been increasingly popular in recent years so that’s why so many artists are doing pop or hip hop music( even R&B is doing really well on the charts these days!) But yeah I agree that I miss when alternative music was on top of the charts like in the 00s and when rock - and it’s sub categories - were super popular back in the 60s to the 90s. Nonetheless I’m glad there’s still people out there who love and appreciate this song. Rock ain’t dead yet 🤟🏾

try listening to some 90s and early 2000s punk and emo songs, LØREN fits the bill. I like that he's going this route but it's not really all that unique, punk's been for such a long time. Clear influences of Nirvana, The Ramones (which he even references in the video, his jacket), not just in the music's melody, vibe, and energy, but his posture, intonation and enunciation. He's very old punk. The way the MV is shot also borrows from old punk music videos. The song makes me think of a much more chill version of The Kids Are Alright by The Offspring

With the way that it's made and with the lyrics you'd never guess that the label that he is apart of is a sub label of one of South Korea's big entertainment labels. Most would think of Loren as an rock artist based in the states, but he isn't he was born in South Korea and raised, plays drums as well as guitar. That's what I love about the black label unlike the artist in YG itself from what I've seen. Black Label their artist have more influence on what they release. Loren is a wonderful example of that.

Escribo estas palabras mientras escucho la nueva canción en la que trabajó Løren. Desde antes de escucharla ya sabía que iba a ser demasiado buena a tal punto de que la iba a reproducir diariamente como sus otras canciones que son igual de buenas que ésta. Decir orgullo no resume el remolino de emociones que tengo ahora mismo en mi estómago, Løren es un ARTISTA COMPLETO, su video hizo que mi piel se erizara por lo increíble que es, simplemente estoy sin palabras. Amo mucho su música, es completamente mi estilo y creo que ningún cantante coreano va a poder superar el amor que le tengo a su música. Es como escuchar el sonido de la luna, me deja con la boca abierta que sus letras sean especiales y profundas, que le dé el valor que merece la música y además de ello lo disfrute. Admiro de pies a cabeza a este chico por el amor que le tiene a la música y por desafiar los obstáculos que existieron para volverse cantautor. Løren, quiero que sepas que tienes un gran impacto, dejas una huella distinta a las demás. Te amo mucho, realmente tu música es mi tesoro más preciado y quiero verte crecer hasta convertirte en uno de los cantantes surcoreanos más originales y completos. El detalle de la flor es asombroso, cómo puede hacer todo realmente bien. Sé que esto no lo verá pero, me reconforta mucho escuchar su voz y me hace sentir muy bien. ♡
