During the 70s...her golden voice hooked to my mind unconciously after one of her Hits "Xiong Xi Lei" that I had heard over the radio broad casting this Hit song....till this day...Awesome of her as God gifts to us...

In the late 70s in Chinatown NYC, I stumbled upon the music of Lisa Wong and became a fanatic and soon was seeking out anything on the Life Records label. There were so many amazing artists, but Lisa'a voice and talent shone through the brightest. I learned that in retirement, she had a long illness, recovering sometime in the 2000's. She also lost her money when her husband invested in a tape duplication plant that tanked. Her son, her pride it seems, is in the Singaporean Air Force. A dream was always to somehow hear her live. A big thank you for this wonderful post. I have many of the albums pictured above in cassette or LP form and your montage is a beauty. Any further information from anyone would be appreciated.

So jealous! I'm in NYC and collect Lisa Wong, You Ya, Feng Fei Fei, Teresa Teng...would be a lot easier if I could just go to the record store. Was there a place called...Sunny's or something like that on Canal? A lot of Mando/Canto records I've found in NYC have that sticker on them.
