Thanks Gordon for sharing the unique goodness of God described in the bible! (Time 13:49) Not only did God not allow Abraham to kill Isaac at the end, on the contrary, God sacrificed His only son Jesus to save those who believes in Him, who Paul described in Galatians as the offsprings of Abraham. (Galatians 3:29 “If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”) Paul also wrote in Hebrews that Abraham didn't sacrifice his son blindly like those in other ancient religions. By "faith" he reasoned that God will raise Isaac from the dead to keep His promise. (Hebrews 11:17-19 “By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.”) Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death. I really enjoy your channel on a daily basis! Keep up the good works!
