I am from Kolkata. Previously job charnock was regarded as founder of Calcutta or Kolkata but in 2003 Calcutta high court declared that job charnock was not the founder of Kolkata and it has no founder...job charnock landed in Kolkata in the year 1690 which divided into 3 villages gobindopur,sutanati and kolikata...charnock died in 1692 or 1693. His tomb is in dalhousie area of Kolkata ,vertically behind governor house 🏠. In 1696 or 1698 the English either bought or got lease of the above mentioned villages from a local zamindar called sabarna Roychowdhury...and the rest is history.. the history of my Calcutta is quiet fascinating. Actually gun powders were used first by Bahmani Sultans in 14th century and later perfected by Vijaynagar empire. Ex. Malik E Maidan cannon. Just the North Indian rulers didn’t have/used gunpowder. Portuguese brought latest cannon technology to Vijaynagar which they used against South Kingdoms.

Aurangzeb is indeed a tragic hero..his end was indeed a tragic, I like his war of succession, it's indeed fascinating..his religious policy was a negative part of his life.. the most amazing thing about aurangzeb is after 300 years of his death his soul had risen in the air of India 🇮🇳 's politics in Modi's regime.resently there was communal clash in maharashtra regarding aurangzeb. Indeed aurangzeb means end of medieval era and beginning of modern era,aurangzeb means partition between Hindus 🕉 and Muslims ☪️, aurangzeb means religious intolerantion, aurangzeb means brother against brother and son against father 👨.
