Yeah I wasn’t ready for this song. The feels were a little too strong for me there at the end…. But I really enjoyed this song. The blend of piano and guitar was just sublime in some spots. Throw in the electronic elements in the middle section and bam… you got yourself a song people are gonna cry over years later after hearing once they hear it again. Geez.

If you’d like to donate to the channel or just show your appreciation, all the details are below. All donations and tips that come from you, go into my daughters college fund and a fund for channel equipment. I created this channel for her so she has videos of her father talking and doing something he enjoys(listening to music and talking about it) since I don’t have any of those of my father. I decided that all funds that might come from this will go to her as well :) thank you again for your generosity guys, I appreciate you all more then you will ever know.
Your name will be added to the Thank you supporters’ video that plays at the end of every video and you get to pick a video for me to react to. Thank you so much!! If you donate and pick a song, I will get to it in under 24 hours!

What's another good track by Oceansize? I am very intrigued by their sound. I felt a lot of feelings in this I honestly couldn't explain. It really made me realize how much I impact others and myself... and how I need to severely do better! I love how music can do that.

Thanks for reacting to my favorite band! Future tracks recommendations: Superfluous to Requirements (this track is a banger but somehow didn’t make an album and is a b side, but I promise you this is the one) The last 3 tracks of the music for nurses ep all form a massive composition. Drag the ‘nal, Dead dogs & all sorts, & As the smoke clears

Check out "The Charm Offensive". I love Oceansize and that's easily one of my favourites from them. And their cover of Walking In The Air is just beyond wonderful.

check out the EP Music For Nurses starting with track 2 and just let it play. The track "Women who love men who love drugs" is also nice; all of the Effloresce album is great - likewise "Everyone Into Position" - hard to go wrong.

Such a gorgeous song! Not too long ago that I discovered this band - actually through this record. This song especially got stuck in my head and I need to come back to it once in a while. Great band!

OMG!OMFG! I love this band, probably most of the recommandations were from me lol. It almost bring tears to my eyes seeing this reaction, you are awesome man! I am obsessed with this band for the last 6 months, they are amazing. The wall of sound they create hits different to me. I would suggest not to get too deep on lyrics as below comment also mentions, they are sometimes shallow and even meaningless, also not I agree upon. But the music... Music man. Glad you enjoyed it and gives you feelings about. We all make mistakes but what matters is we are trying, trying to be better. Its not about results but the ride and how we behaved during that. At least to me :) For recommandation, I would say "The charm offensive" and "women who love men who love drugs" are good, if you want to go real deep in their mellow songs, I also love "Long forgotten". Thank you so much for this reaction!

yes, the frontman Mike Vennart has a patreon and described the lyric writing for this and there really isnt much. He has said, and I think it is evident and has been for the 10 years ive listened to them, that the vocals are vocals and lyrics in oceansize are often just phonetically workable fluff to express those vocals. not something to be looked into or examined much

This and "Music for a Nurse" are their most popular songs The song "New Pin" sounds the most like a "single" The duo "I am the Morning" into "Catalyst" might be a good introduction. And songs like "Women who love men who love drugs" "Ornament/The last wrongs" "Frame" and "Oscar Acceptance Speech" are more epic sounding.

Oceansize is one of my favorite bands. Unfortunately I never got to see them in person. Watch or listen to their dvd Feed to Feed, they were incredible live. Build Us a Rocket Then… is incredible, Homage to a Shame as well. I would encourage you to listen to whole albums as well. I just read some reviews and I am so glad new people are discovering them. I’ve been a fan for many years. I still get chills when I hear their music. I hope you don’t stop with one song. They are real quality musicians and they made beautiful music.

Hi Angela! Thank you so much for watching! I’m so glad I finally listened to them! I’ve been getting requests for months. I really enjoyed this. Honestly. It was so nostalgic and so just packed with emotion. I almost broke down! I am going through so much shit right now it’s not even funny. And this brought it all to the surface. I will for sure being do more by them! Music is a special thing for me, almost religious in a way. When I find something that makes me FEEL something… I never let go. To my own detriment sometimes. Sorry, didn’t mean to turn this into therapy!

Oh I completely understand. Without going into details I’ve been through some heavy stuff as well. Their music helped me through some major things. It’s hard to explain, it gets to the heart of me. I really hope things get better for you.

I appreciate the feelings issue - the band often seems to touch at the full spectrum of humanity in an introspective way- plus there's a depth to this level of music that's so lacking from culture generally. You might enjoy King Crimson's - Construcktion of Light (Live) . Keep your depth. Peace.

This is not really new (except to you and the channel) since the band dissolved in 2011, and evidently it was not a pretty breakup (seems some of the band liked their party favors a little too much). Instrumentally a little too laid back and mellow for me, I like a harder edge. As for the lyrics, I don't like them. They tell a tale of problems, failures, and losses, which I have no issue with, that is the story of life. My issue is the protagonist basically gives up; that is not a philosophy I can agree with, better to go down fighting. Remember, as bad as it seems, the alternative is almost certainly worse.

Oh wow I had no idea im gonna check out their bio. I always like to go in completely blind to a new band so I have no preconceptions but now that’s out of the way so I can check em out. Thanks for the info! Sad to hear though because this was awesome.

@@L33Reacts Yeah, I love to go and look at the history of a band, how they evolved, what obstacles they had to overcome, has their theme or genre changed. had to use Wiki since they were not even listed in Encyclopaedia Metallum which is my go-to source for all things metal.
