Thank you to our patron Scott for another winner! Wow, that solo at the end was great. I really enjoyed Steve's vocals and antics on stage... He is a hoot. His voice is so powerful. This was a great watch and listen, thank you again Scott.

When journey first formed, they were a prog rock band, and after a couple of albums didn't do well, the record company pressured them to get a singer song writer who could write some hits. As steven started giving them some success, some of the band had a real problem with the pop/rock direction the band was heading, but he brought them to the top of the mountain.

Neil Schon, and Gregg Rollie, are double inductees to Rock n Roll Hall of Fame..first with Santana, ( yes they were at Woodstock) ...after leaving Santana , in mid 70s ..they formed a tiny little Band called Journey, and , well ...2nd induction. Gregg Rollie did and Shares vocals with Steve Perry , who joined a little later after band formed. ( Feeling that Way/ Anytime) A twin song , never to be played separate, nori e studio only, features Gregg , and Steve, sharing vocals, and Neil Schon shredding. .. The family Tree of Rock. Has many branches! ✌️❤

This was one of the first Journey songs to feature keyboardist/guitarist Jonathan Cain. He had been a member of the Babys before replacing longtime keyboardist Gregg Rolie in Journey. He wrote the song with lead singer Steve Perry. According to the liner notes of Journey's Time3 compilation, Steve Perry wrote the chorus of the song driving from Bakersfield to San Francisco, singing into a cassette recorder. He went to Cain's house, rain pouring down in sheets outside, with the whole song in his head. He hummed the song to Cain and guided him through the piano part. Cain suggested the tune sounded like "A somebody done somebody wrong song" and came up with the line, "Who's crying now?" They finished the song that afternoon.

It's been a mystery But still they try to see Why something good can hurt so bad Caught on a one-way street The taste of bittersweet Love will survive somehow, somewhere One love, feeds the fire One heart, burns desire I wonder who's crying now? Two hearts, born to run Who'll be the lonely one? I wonder who's crying now? So many stormy nights So many wrong or rights Neither could change their headstrong ways And in a lover's rage They turn another page The fighting is worth the love they save One love, feeds the fire One heart, burns desire I wonder who's crying now? Two hearts, born to run Who'll be the lonely one? I wonder who's crying now? Only so many tears you can cry 'Til the heartache is over And now you can say your love Will never die Whoa ooh ooh, ooh ooh One love, feeds the fire One heart, burns desire I wonder who's crying now? Two hearts, born to run Who'll be the lonely one? I wonder who's crying now?

And for the love of all good do not do Live version, cuz it's 1978 , and audio , TV Time , variety show BS... If you will , find the studio version, of above mentioned, you will feel and hear the full force of Journey..Perry, Gregg Rollie, Schon , and brother it ain't no Ballad.
