I made a pretty serious error in the Habetrot section. Her cleanse is a repeating effect, so YOU MUST ABSOLUTELY NOT PUT IT ON VAN GOGH. But you also can't put it on Habetrot herself or she'll survive its effect. Just dump it on your third member, especially if they don't meet its requirements or have a multiturn taunt. Obviously, this only works in single Gogh setups. For Double Gogh, don't use Habetrot.

Gogh is absolutely insane for any difficult content. I find, more often than not, I can go into most challenge quests blind with double Gogh and Summer BB and its going to be EZ clap. Also one of the most fun servants to use in general.

You made a small strategy mistake with Van Gogh. With 2 Van Goghs, you want to use both of their 2nd skills, before using 1 of their 3rd skills, and then follow up with that Gogh's 1st skill, and then repeating. That allows you to REALLY take advantage of that 10 per curse charge.

This works best when the 1st used Van Gogh has their 2nd append skill unlocked, then both of them can NP turn 1 if needed. If either has a starting charge CE of 40% or more then you can save one of their skill 2’s for another wave.

Agree, it's a matter of passing the metaphorical ball of curse stacks between themselves, absorb on one, charge NP, have the other ghogie absorb all of the first's curse stacks, charge, etc

Much like everyone treats Van Gogh as a pure support they treat Douman as a pure offense. He brings so many useful effects but I'm sure in much the same way people hate having to think about skill order for Van Gogh they also hate adding Douman to the order because his 1,000 damage curses can hurt if you suck up the wrong ones.

Other than Double Gogh, I’ve found Taira, Gogh, and Douman to be an amazing team. All 3 servants have Guts and 2 have Evades, with one of those being a party-wide Evade. And Douman’s Guts is 2 times while Taira’s only has a cooldown of 2 turns. Finally Gogh reduces damage taken by stunning the enemy. All together, it’s nearly impossible for them to die. Douman provides AOE damage, Taira provides single target anti-defensive buff damage, and Gogh provides sheer overwhelming crit damage. All 3 are Chaotic Evil as well so Douman buffs their damage and crit damage to high heavens.

I started when Van Gogh was first released. Was going for Nemo because I love the design (even though he's not great) but ended up getting two Van Goghs. She has carried me through everything I have done story-wise so far minus a few battles where there were better options for me. She's my first and only 10-Bond servant and easily my favorite. Haven't taken her out of my lineup yet and am slowly making my way through LB-5

A quick warning to my fellow Gogh enthusiasts: the maximum crit buff is 500%, and it is very easy to hit it.

I wouldn't say it's easy to hit in a Van Gogh solo. But yeah double Van Gogh or with other crit supports it's very easy to hit. But that's not a big deal honestly. If you're running double Van Gogh this just means you can stagger/delay their NP to make sure terror is always up, even if there's waves or new enemies come in. Without any real DPS loss

One cool thing about the way her “Attack up on curse removal” skill works is that it doesn't strictly have to be Quick cards Sure quick cards do it for free, but if you put a curse removal CC on any of her other cards it still has the same effect.

One thing I have to add as a proud Ghogie user, is that in lack of a Skadi (my bad luck), the surprisingly serviceable replacement is none other than DOUMAN. As both chaotic evil, the crit and atk buffs work for both of them, and they can crit back to back with no issue, douman generating an insane amount of stars too, while also having two back to back guts as a failsafe for himself, plus curse application on his NP. Running double ghogie with Douman is amazing stuff, I highly reccomend it.

The daily single came in clutch, let’s gooo. Honestly, while she is definitely a good solo servant (which I desperately needed since my best solo servant before her was a 6/6/6 cu 💀), I mainly pulled her because of how fun her gameplay looked while running double Van Gogh.

Very good breakdown! A couple more things to add: 1) Van Gogh is a lynchpin for "elite comps", i.e. those that use crits to take down difficult farming nodes usually with some combination of Gogh, Summer BB, Himiko, Douman, etc. With wacky 90+ and 90++ nodes, that's sometimes more workable than NP spam, even with Oberon in the mix. The good thing about those is they often work best without duplicate servants, so you can run it if you have any 2 of the 3 (or 3 of the 4 if you plug). 2) While a second copy isn't a must have, NP2 makes it a lot easier to get both her very useful append 1 and append 2. Which is a nice extra bonus, especially if you want to use her both for farming and soloing.

I actually really liked using her in a standard arts team with Tamamo and Castoria for the LB1 super recollection quests. Tamamo for the heals (rarely needed, but nice insurance whenever someone happened to take a hit), charge and skill cooldown on the NP, Castoria for all the things Castoria's used for, and Gogh providing stars, atk, and crit up also helped to keep the engine going. Not the most damage when compared to double Gogh + Douman/Skadi which I couldn't use anyway because no duplicate servants allowed, but more than serviceable enough to deal with multi-million HP Asterios and Anastasia bosses in a relatively timely manner. Also, I'm not sure if it actually is, but it felt almost like an immortal comp with how the team always had either evade, invul, or the boss was stunned by a terror proc. Gogh is so cool, man. One of the few servants in the game that makes me want to use my brain and mess around with team comps.

You have forgotten the most powerful support that Van Gogh can have. No it's not Skadi or Habetrot but in fact, Ashiya Douman. Douman himself gives crit buffs to the van goghs and they are guaranteed to be 100% because they are for chaotic evil servants. He can inflict confusion and terror with his enemy debuff that also gives them curse and he has an 80% charge that also grants him a 2 proc guts. His NP is a damage NP and can be used as chip/brave damage for your goghs. As for CE selection, while the CE's you recommend are nice, 2030 is the CE to go for with her. getting 10 crit stars every turn after the first turn is very strong and combo'd with her NP is 20 crit stars every turn. this is great on a van gogh that is supporting another van gogh since any crit damage buffs would be wasted after a certain point due to hitting the max crit buff limit.

Reminder: NP2 and above is very low efficiency and not worth it. NP1 makes your crits deal 150% more damage (total of 250%) , NP2 makes your crits deal 175% more damage (total 275%). So the damage difference is only 10%. She's also a soloist that's not meant for min turns, so there's no merit in trying to shave off 2 turns in a 20 turn solo.

So I summoned her cause I was curious and I was a big fan of Gogh's Real life art style and she came super early for me. But since then she is one of my silver bullets I keep in the back pocket incase of an emergency. There are just some fights here and there (Like certain fights in LB6) that she just makes an absolute joke. Not only is she a strong servant, her character is just wonderful for the right amount of crazy but still so so adorable you just wanna hug her.

I use her for everything. She can support, her solo capabilities are better than Orion's, depending on the fight. I even use her to crit farm with Summer BB and another Gogh

Van Gogh was my first SSR on JP (made the account when Summer Kiara first dropped) and she carried my underdeveloped account from Solomon all the way to LB5 with just Helena and Hans as supports while barely slowing down. Just an absolutely great crit DPS and crit support. I've raised her to 100 on both NA and JP, 2k fou'd on JP, and am aiming to do so on NA once the big class score system master mission dump happens.

Even tho I'm saving for melu's rerun, I threw some of my savings at gogh's banner to get her to np3, now I can finally get her to lvl 120. She's my no.1 ST servant and destroys most bosses easily, also it's fun dishing out massive dmg with facecards instead of the usual dmg np buff stacking.

Van Gogh's stun lock made E-Olga's fight the easiest of the 10 waves. I think Olga got to attack 4 or 5 times during the entire fight. Actual Grand Foreigner,.Also don't forget her synergy with Douman, even more stun and crits because she's both evil and chaotic.

Just make sure to play around Douman's massive curses that can chip down Van Gogh very quickly if you're not careful.

@@blurb9319 They'll never kill her so planning around her evade and guts help mitigate external damage she'd be taking, then once her buffs wear off you can use Atlas to lower her cooldowns, give her invul or just erase the excess curses once her quick curse buff runs out in three turns and do it all over again.

I love running her on both NA & JP! I have her at NP3 on NA. One thing I can suggest for her is that you can use her as a Quick Support. For CEs, I recommend Magical Girl of Sapphire (as a Support) or True Crimson Spear Trainer (as a DPS). Note that you only need the Curse Stacks to get her started.

My Van Gogh comp is her, skadi, and summer bunnygirl artoria. Artoria rolls the hand into one with 3 van gogh cards, as many quick as possible, and then skadi dumps her buffs and gets swapped for summer bb to lock the hand and let my van GOGH off.

Van Gogh and Summer BB go really well together, yeah Light Koyan brings more immediate benefits to her but you get the benefit of hand-picking your DPS for the fight depending on card RNG, whether it's BB or Gogh you get some disgusting damage for 3 turns which can oftentimes just destroy the fight at hand outright. Nothing stops you from running one LKoyan right after either, especially since her battery is completely standalone so you can give it to Gogh for an added "Atlas" CDR instead of its usually intended purpose.

Keeping curses on her was definitely intended to be a balancing act

Like is she? All I ever hear about her are the good thing. And I can't be mad either at geting her instead of Ashiya. I also need to note, that her VA godamn nailed it, notably these awkaward laughs. But yeah, if she's indeed uderrated, that's godamn sad, how characters that aren't 3 turn farmers and meta supports are overlooked. Like Castoria and Salieri might have all your lotto farming needs covered (yeah, so many "likes" ik).

Imagine not mentioning Douman. 100% crit, 40% atk up, more quick cards to help with crit stars and Douman himself crits like a bus, more def down on enemy, more terror, atk down to help with survivability. Attempting to be original only shows that you aren't exactly all that smart.
