I never liked music till FNM. When Angel Dust came out in 1992. I was blown away. I was a sophomore in school. Angel dust is my favorite album of all time..

I saw FNM with Babes in Toyland and Kyuss in 1992, Huntridge Theater Las Vegas. Still to this day the best concert I have ever been to. I was about 15 feet from Patton when he pulled out his tallywhacker to urinate in his own sneaker. He then proceeded to drink said urine. I dry heaved for like 5 minutes....memories.

I saw them on the same tour I was 15 my first concert. No urine drinking at that show unfortunately although a cute blonde kept grinding her bum into my crotch.

That's actually pretty sick. I never would've pictured Mike and Donita chilling over coffee. She looks so fun and charming, tbh. Plus, it's kind of nice having some insight into how weird that dynamic with Jim and the band really got. They're clearly annoyed.

That is pretty dickish to leave your band mate behind because he was late. But the band was getting tired of Jim at this point, for whatever reasons. There's always two sides to every story. I feel kinda bad for Jim because he really didn't seem to fit in with the band and I'm sure he felt alienated.

Faith no More hit another level of success with Angel Dust, the album that Jim doesn't help so much, in fact that is the best Faith no More album, with King for a day... the real thing was a great album, but the definition of style and nature of Faith no More born in Angel Dust!!

Gotta disagree, not about angel dust, it's a masterpiece, but that it's their last good album. King for a day is awesome and I really enjoyed sol invictus, album of the year was meh. I loved jim Martin and the sound did change without him, but he was a limited player and it allowed them to grow as a band. For the record jim barely was involved in writing angel dust, just came in and recorded his parts the guys wrote for him. Billy recorded some of the guitars.
@arglbargl
@arglbargl 4 жыл бұрын
yeah people don't realize how much jim actually contributed to the band's sound. despite the common perception of him as a neanderthal buttrocker, he was probably the most musically out there guy in the band. the stuff he was doing with cliff burton as far back as the late 70s was cardiacs-level weird
