He is truly a pioneer of the sport and John Danaher has given Dean Lister the credit for inspiring Danaher to pursue his study of leg attacks.

Hi Everyone! I got an email notification saying the man himself, Dean Lister, commented on this video and said "PINK." I got super excited but I no longer see the comment. As I looked into it further it looks like there is another comment from MrMannaMushrooms saying "Black one looks sick! Id like the black" but I dont see that comment either. Obviously this is an issue if I am doing a giveaway and some of the comments are no longer there. Dean comments alot, god bless him. He has probably been deemed SPAM by the algorithm. Its lame but check your COMMENTS tab and look for MIGHT BE SPAM (Not sure if that's still how it works or if they are just shadow muting him) Either way.... Mr. Lister, if you are listening, please explode the bad mans kneecaps to make the algorithm stop hurting people. Thank you

I trained under Dean at Victory and it is a real treat to be so close to such a wealth of knowledge. BTW keep up the great work. didnt realize you are just under 500 subs. good job but gotta say, people are sleeping on this channel. i think its great that you do these. keep em comin.

Dean is the man, nearly two decades ahead of his time. I had the pleasure of taking a few classes from him in 2009. I still use the techniques he taught that day.

Nice that is awesome! He seems like a super down to earth guy as well. I am of the younger generation of people who didnt really appreciate him until Danaher shouted him out and I am glad he is getting the credit he deserves!

BLACK. Also in listening to Danaher he noted that you can almost always posture up to escape upper body submissions but you inevitably need to plant your feet to posture so they are a grounded target.

If you look at Lachlan’s Reddit post he just put on his Instagram story you can see how his game/mindset has changed since last ADCC. Now favors DLR/Bolos/waiter/k guard. He’s releasing instructionals on all of that too soon I think. Hopefully he’ll get to show it off at ADCC or whenever we see him compete next.
