Their name Ayitey seems the closest to the name Anyetei otherwise there's no place other than La that the name Anyetei can be found (I stand to be corrected). Granted. These are known and we are not ruling out such possibility. You'd however realize that Papoe, Tagoe, Allotey and Co have not entirely replaced the original names from their clans. For ANIMLE WE however we are being made to believe Anyetey/Anyetei have completely replaced Ayitey. Not only that but that alteration also altered all other names within the ANIMLE We family such that there is no longer any single name intact in the family you can link to the Asere clans they say they hail from. The OsuDoku Mantse’s stool name includes Animle, does that suggest it has an Ayitey influence because in Ga Animle is the sabla for Ayitey? We have to approach aspects of our historical narratives with much care and caution lest we lose what originally is our history.

@@AbladeTV Please also note that the era in which the said Ayitey whose name has metamorphosed to Anyetey lived about 300 - 400 years ago. That is enough room for even total erasal of names. Oyeadu Fa is now Oyarifa. Ashaleyjara is now Ashalaja So many such instances can be given. Even Nugma has changed to Nungua. Perhaps you could have waited for him to explain the other customs and practices that make them Aseremei other than the names. They may have same deities. Also, We have not stated that there is no possibility. Even in possibilities, justifiable reasons are given. Then again, enough opportunity was given to share the other factors other than the name.
