Ottima la regia ideativa del coordinamento del collettivo danzante con posture anche inedite.Ottimi quelli che con un mio neologismo mi piace chiamare convoli aerei ed elanisti della ballerina ottimamente indotti e tenuti dal partner. Ottima impressione di naturalezza esecutiva d'acchito da parte di entrambi. OTTIME Le pose figurali assunte anche in piena fase esecutiva dell'ensemle. Ottimo il senso del continuum dato alla pièce danzante.Molto bravi Tutti gli agenti in proscenio.Bighin GIULIO RENZO

Te lo agradezco muchisimo, los demas vieos se camuflan con la ballet Ruso...de Pernambuco, Ballet ruso de ruso de Kiev.....He escuchado El Cascanueces ( el tuyo minimo 4 veces) Salgo y vuelvo corriendo, ya han puesto la compañia de " compostura, me callo....me da la risa¡¡¡ Este año quiero llevar a mi nieta 6 años al Lope de Vega, si es el Ballet Nanacional Ruso, al de Kiev NO. Hay un señor que comenta la crueldad que supondría prohibir la cutura Rusa, sería un castigo ¡¡¡¡ Seria cruel.... Un cordial saludo

Yo siempre interpreté que: en el segundo acto simplemente se narraba una alucinación provocada por el opio. Hoy sé que este ballet cuenta la historia de una muerte por sobredosis de opio. Yo nunca lo entendí, hasta ahora que conozco la realidad de la epidemia de opioides que actualmente padece el pueblo estadounidense: Un horror, que en los EE UU la muerte por sobredosis de opioides sea algo tan cotidiano. Maravillosa versión de "La Bayadera".

They dance nicely but it is impossible to watch ballet because the producer constantly switches the cameras from close up instead of driving the dancers and flickers the image.

Have you seen any other companies performing La Bayadera? I have only seen a supposed full length movie but finished after shades and didn't do the Act 3 at all. It have a huge company ( Kirov) but it was no better than this smaller travelling company. More dancers just adds numbers on stage. It is the drama of the performances that we need to be paying attention to. And the choreography was the same as the performance I saw in the Kirov movie version and at least this one didn't have the cringy blackamoors in it. ( female corps with the large fans did it instead. Much better. And the costuming was much the same except for the colours.

@@micheledix2616 yes, of course, I watched the La Bayedere in Mariinsky (former Kirov) in Chabukiani and Ponomaryov version, in Mikhailovsky by Nacho Duato, in Moscow Bolshoi and few other versions. In Chabukiani version the performance ends with shades scene, so you were probably watching Vikharev reconstruction, one of the best modern attempts to recreate the Petipa version. In classical performances the order and number of dancers are important. Just imagine - two swans instead of all. So even numbers are important. And one more time - the performance is really poor and funny, its not about sizem its about quality. And blackamoors are not cringy at all, its the original choreography from the nineteenth century, I am really sorry that you could not get it( Costumes looks so cheapy)) Its not 'the same' at all.

@user-qe9xn1ob8d oh I do realise that the blackamoors is from the original, but I do personally find it cringy these days. Any suggestions where I can find a recording of the wedding and temple destruction last original act. It certainly makes it a long exhausting performance for the company. We have to remember exactly when the original was performed to , to put it into context. Amazing that it is still so vibrant here in the 21st century. Having watching this year's American Prix , some of the Nikaya and Solor solos performed and the winning Pas de Deux ( Grand pas Classic from Shades) the roles for the future will be performed by brilliant young dancers. Thanks for your feedback by the way😃 very old ex ballet dancer here. I have transferred my training over to super soft style Tai Chi for health ,stability, flexibility, strength and balance now and instruct. Life takes some interesting twists and turns doesn't it. 😁

@@micheledix2616 Unfortunately, I didn't see the Vikharev reconstruction here on youtube, it performs very seldom in Mariinsky. And I don't think its too complex for the company, they have a lot experience in performing of such grand ballets. But, Mariinsky doesn't like Vikharev version, choosing Chabukiani.

@user-qe9xn1ob8d you are so fortunate to have been able to see the various 'versions' of performances from different companies, which is why I asked you that initial question in our first message. I find the recorded performances ( I have viewed 3 complete performances all finishing with Shades and none yet with the original final act of the wedding/ temple destruction) will just have to satisfy my pleasure as I search for more treasures. It has been so interesting reading all the history from the very beginning. I wonder just how much Nikiya's haunting flower/bite variation has changed since the first performance. There is so much perfection of control technically and deep acting required. What a treasure to see it performed so well. Unfortunately sadly , while the filming is wonderful to be able to be viewed often the camera cannot pick up the other 'drama' happening on the stage. Like the interaction between Solor, Gamazatti, the Rajah, the Priest etc. I must be off as I need to rise at 5am tomorrow (Sunday) to drive a 30min trip to instruct at Tai Chi class at a Gym. No rest for this old lady, and I love it being able to pass on the joy of the Forms. Cheers from Australia.
