Hayley Westenra sings La Califfa, original music by Ennio Morricone, live at the Royal Albert Hall London for "Classic FM Live" on 29 April 2014. The orchestra is the Royal Northern Sinfonia, conducted by Martin Yates.
The video is by an HWI member of the audience, there were unfortunately some camera-shake issues in the first minute or so, the audio is from the Classic FM broadcast of the concert and credit to them also, for the two short photo inserts!

Such a shame this wonderful singer has dropped out of sight. Sitting around in the twilight of my life, thinking before I go, whose concert would I like to go and see. Picked Haley out of 50+ singers I like/love. Damn, this girl does not tour any longer. She does not release albums. There is no current news since her last album in 2011. What a waste!

She released an album in 2013 entitled Hushabye. It's a lullaby album though. It was to celebrate the birth of the Royal Family's birth that year. Has a couple great songs on it. Hayley has been working on her next album the last 2-3 years. Hopefully, it will be released in 2017. Seems Hayley will have more songwriter credits with her upcoming album hence the long wait. So stay tune! :)

I too have been mystified by her long silence. After spending most of her young life touring the world, she has earned a break ,and to spend time with her family. Her Website has been dormant for years now. I see that she has made singular visits / performances in Ireland London and the USA, but no mention of tours. To be frank, that 'golden era' of the 'cross-over' stars has to some extent, lost it's appeal to the general public--due to the lack of new material.
