Hola, Marix. Mucho gusto. I'm afraid that this band didn't make it past the demo stage. I didn't know them at the time nor do I know much about them. What I can do is translate for you what one of the band members (Ljuba Protic) wrote six years ago in another comment here. "Biljana Krstic is the singer and the rest of the guys are Valdek Trujic, Bora Panic, Sasa Ivosevic i Ljuba Protic. I don't know what Biljana is up to these days, Valdek unforunately died in a car accident, Bora is in London working as a sound engineer, Sasa has a very successful private business, and after this band, I worked with Vertigo (later known as California). Salve, Andrea The guys in this thread were discussing what happened to this band, who the members were, and where they are now. I posted this video together with a dozen others because we were all on this one TV show that featured only "demo" bands as all of us had no record contract at the time. Some of the bands went on to release a couple of albums but none really survived the test of time, although some individuals have decent music careers. La Card didn't go any further than this. As far as synth-pop in ex-Yugoslavia goes, Denis & Denis is definitely the best and purest example of it, but it's pretty much the only one like that. The next best thing was a Slovenian band Videosex kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZevpGltq8iea7s I will dare to assume that you being Italian prefer somewhat sweeter synth-pop sounds. There are no other such bands per se in ex-Yu, though we could probably dig up dozens of songs by artists who went with that type of production only because it was a popular style at a time. WoooW! This is the best, the most intresting and extensive reply i've ever received on yt! Props to your kindness and your knowledge of the scene... see, i know many of the bands and artists you mentioned but you helped placing missing parts of the puzzle. I have to say - you nailed it ! bc among the many band and projects you mentioned, there are many names that i already know, love and sometimes own (mostly reissues). I'm not sure what did you mean with a "sweeter synthpop" - but Sladjana Milosevic is very nice but not really my cup of tea! I love and own the reissues of Beograd, Max & Intro, and Denis & Denis and about them : i already loved the albums and singles but a couple of years ago, their demos were published and i went completely nuts ... that's by far my favorite among their releases. I'm not so familair with Videosex so thank you - they might be my next obsession :-) Do you think i will find their records easily ? I'm a huge fan of what nowdays is called "minimal synth" ! I grew up with the UK synthpop classic Human League, Soft Cell and Blancmange ... i could go on forever but i mentioned this 3 in particular because all three bands sounded very different on their early demos - almost like other bands, darker, more rough and experimental.. in a few words : i love the sound of raw synths and drum machines. That series of demos called Ventilator 202 is incredible - i need to track down the second one of the series but i know the other 2. Oskarova Fobija and that track you linked by Berlinen Strasse made it on famous minimal synth / new wave obscurities compilations - and i own a copy of each. Not a real fan of "weirdness" in synthpop - you know, silly choruses and or weird loops, trumpets or weird sounds (that's why i can't listen to most of the NDW stuff ! ) so i'm not really into D Boys and Laki Pingvini. I need time to process those 2 other projects linked to Sizike but that's primo stuff - thanks for that! Same for Kozmetika, great aggressive synth stuff and i've never heard them! So much quality and so many bands !! I have many other questions in my mind about the ex-yugo scene, can i bother you with an email? I'm obsessed with the last album by Paraf and i'm sure i'm not the only one bc the price of a used copy went from 30/35 to 100+ euros in 5/6 years ... but yeah i also love post-punk and industrial so i have many other questions.
