Entertaining movie! As a Latina woman, hearing Eric Roberts say phrases in Spanish was great. I also really liked his character and how he played it. He is a tremendous actor! I have seen his career and it is admirable! A simple and generous man who is still relevant today and always giving his best when working: a true actor!

A minor gem that repeatedly usurps the tropes of the noir genre, refreshing and reinvigorating the protagonist's plight while still managing to avoid the sentimental and banal pitfalls that lesser movies might have stumbled over.

Having been habitually drunk for weeks is the one and only explanation for ever, ever, ever accepting an offer from that smarmy, untrustworthy, over-the-top "oh he wears Armani but he tells me he wishes he could wear rags!!!' _amigo_ . Okay, that, and "we need you to fall for this obvious liar or else the movie can't happen".

A terrible movie which I watched. The first half was like (as if) coming alive in a comic book. It progressed to the tired desires, actually a spoof, of those who want to be writers and haven't written a page; ridiculous symbolism, such as the cockroach scene, without any subtlety; an attempt at some philosophical thought about running from the past yet yearning to go back; and most offensively and not original, a 'take on the movie Office Space at the end of the movie. Written by someone with an inflated ego and produced by a director with too much money.
@JAYJAY-x5o Жыл бұрын
Actually, I know for a fact that this movie was written long before Office Space, which it barely resembles even in that scene, ever came out. But you must must know best because you are a KZbin commentator. You don't know a thing about anybody involved. Like the movie, don't like the movie, who cares? Go project your arbitrary nastiness all over the web, that's your right. Just understand that like most online projectors who attack people about whom they don't personally have a clue that you are really talking about yourself.
