i was 22 when they had last won it all in 1988, and that october was one of the greatest months of my life. i cried when they advanced to the series in 2017. so much disappointment along the way...i thought and dreaded that when they went down 3-1 vs atlanta, that they were done. so much joy and especially relief when the last strike crossed home plate in game 6 this year... glad to have gotten this one, just wish that guys like kemp, puig, gonzalez, maeda and ryu had been around for this. thank you, dodgers!!!

I was in my apartment alone. Scoring the game. I sat through every post season game and 2017 and 2018 WS. Waiting to finally end the mental video game I’ve played for so many years. (It was another weekday game when Kershaw took the hill. He was dealing. No hits. After the 6th I started to think I’d score my first dodger no hitter. Every AB was suspenseful. Hanley ruined the perfect game, but kershaw threw his first no hitter. ) That was the best one in my book before this one.
