hang on a minute you have to break it off only if you can't unlock the safe and remove lock from the back. Or if you have a swing bolt and add the hexagon retaining ring. otherwise you can remove the mounting plate

I was told you need to snap it off, its tamper proof, they say

If you are shaping out the keypad for new the new keypad kit comes with that plate.

Yes, but if you try and remove the keypad like you would normally to change the batteries, then it will need a new backing plate

@@DrLockShop ​ yes that has happened with customers pulling them apart, but as soon as that happens it's a new keypad kit it's not worth risking the possibility of a lockout from unknown damaged caused when they ripped the pad off. And I was lead to believe and have experienced that the keypad fixing ring (the thin plastic ring that fits to the underside of the keypad to prevent it being turned) was the weakpoint. There are even red ones that snap even easier than the back ones.

This is not about the safe lock you’re talking about hearing this video. This is another LOCKSMITH here in the United States. Just thought I would let you know what new trick the automotive locksmith programming companies are trying to do well now Autel. Has decided that they’re going to take back the software that they’ve sold when they sold it on their K100 key programming tool and take it away from us about being able to do all keys lost. This is totally wrong. The only thing the tool is worth now for any vehicle for it is do nothing but attic key so if you have a key, you can add a key with it but that’s all the tools worth so if you spent your money and you bought that or you bought the I am 608 or the maxi 608 or any of those that had the same type of software. They have probably removed it from there as well I can’t, 100% say that’s true but it probably has contact me if you’d like to know more or have more conversation about this

Hi, that's interesting, can you email me more info, I know a number of locksmiths that use the 508 & 608 and would be interested in knowing the software is going to be downgraded
