Ginny Weasley (Ginevra Molly Weasley) fue la única hija de Arthur Weasley y Molly Prewett, hermana menor de seis varones y esposa de Harry Potter. Estuvo enamorada de Harry desde el comienzo de la saga por ser quien era, aunque se mostraba muy tímida. En su primer curso en Hogwarts usó el diario de Tom Ryddle que Lucius Malfoy le había dado y, a causa de ello, fue poseída e invocó al basilisco de Salazar Slytherin. Habría muerto de no ser porque el propio Harry Potter la salvó a tiempo. En su tercer curso fue al baile de Navidad con Neville Longbottom y allí conoció a Michael Corner de Ravenclaw, con quien empezó a salir y a quien llevó a las sesiones del Ejército de Dumbledore durante el año siguiente. Acompañó a Harry al Ministerio de Magia y sobrevivió a la batalla contra los mortífagos. A final de curso, cortó con Michael y empezó a salir con Dean Thomas. Sin embargo, cortó con él durante el curso siguiente y consiguió despertar el interés de Harry, quien la besó y empezaron a salir. Fue buscadora y cazadora del equipo de quidditch de Gryffindor. Luchó en la batalla de Hogwarts y formó una familia con Harry.
