Yeah I also respect him for defending his family but it was not smart to run out of the entry way after them after seeing that one went right and the other left. Basically while he was going after one guy the other guy could have got the drop on him from behind and it would have been game over and he would no longer be alive to protect his family. He is just lucky that 99% of the time when you confront these guys they just run away. Anyway, the smart play after they ran would have been to go inside and call the police. And if they should stick around and try to break into the house, well, it’s a whole lot easier to hit someone while they are coming through a door or window then it is outside in the dark when they are both hiding on different sides of the yard. Even in the 90's they told us that if we were attacked or robbed and we defended ourselves we would have to make sure they were inside the home. Anything outside and we would be the ones to be arrested and charged. We were harassed often for years until they all moved out and the Hispanics moved in.

There are also debt consolidation businesses around, but check carefully before you sign the dotted line, maybe have a pro bono attorney look at it. Check with your local Votech school and community college. You may be eligible for free tuition. There are many jobs now that pay well and take only a few months or a year or two to obtain, from the more physical jet mechanics and plumbers to the more cerebral medical fields like sonogram, Dental Hygiene, or CADCAM operator for engineering offices. His body position and posture wasn’t from military training (nothing in “the manual” says “Run towards attackers recklessly without finding cover/firing position - he just ran after them) , but he definitely trains in some capacity because he draw was TOO smooth. Great draw, but he didn't move his body out of the other barrel's path. Biggest issue: his left thumb went up and over the slide. Can cause injury to his thumb, and (worse) result in a jam or misfire when you can least afford it. It's easy to Monday morning QB - I've never dealt with what he did, so I'm all talk. But I have had the training, and we drill the motions endlessly for these reasons. I think he did great. But part of good training is always review, revise, redo. Also share. It's good for us to all learn from him.
