Mick said in interviews that the pain does bother him when he performs. But he is still gonna perform, even in pain, until it is impossible for him to perform. Mick is one of my favorite guitarists, and Nikki is one of my favorite bassists..

Been listening to Motley Crue since I was 15 years old, I used to have the biggest crush on Vince. Them and Quiet Riot started me off on Heavy Metal, back in the 80's. Then came OZZY and blew them all out of the water! But I still LOVE me some Crue. Mick is great, the quietest out of the group. It's sweet that Nikki would do this for Mick.

Mick suffers from Ankylosing Spondilitis which basically inflames and fuses the spine's joints together (in his words: it's as if his joints are filled with cement) and, in Mick's case it doesn't just end with his back. Another notable thing (from which i read on The Dirt) is that Mick has a rare case which also affects his eyes to which he can't take bright lights, hence why he's always wearing some brimmed cap

I have been fortunate not to have had any back problems (knock on wood) other than the normal, run-of-the-mill pain that goes away in a few days. And even then, it is the worst. Your back/spine is so important, I just could not imagine the daily struggle that you and others go thru on a day-to-day basis. I would be using narcotics like you would not believe just to get thru a day. Are you a guitarist? I am, and Mick is just a badass. No other words fit.

Wow. Mick looks stiff. After I watched this I looked him up and realized he has the bones in his neck fused together, to where he can't turn his head from side to side. And he lives in constant pain.
