Hi everyone! I know the lyrics aren't correct-- I made this video before official lyrics came out so everything was by ear. I corrected it using KZbin annotations, but they're not available on mobile. I tried as best I could and I would like everyone to know you have spoken and I have listened. If you watch on your laptop or desktop the correct lyrics should be there. Thanks :)

My little brother and his girlfriend watched this movie and we’re endlessly obsessed with this soundtrack. Almost 10months later she took her own life. This all happened in 2017. Haven’t heard this song since then nor has he and this reminds me of how happy my little brother use to be back then with her. He’s changed now and hasn’t seen the movie since she was alive. This song piereces me to my very soul.

It’s a masterpiece 100% We need more dreamers in the world, God DIDNT make this earth to have people sit in offices and work 9-5 jobs. I believe we all need to share our gifts and talents with the world, be bold, brave, DREAM. No matter what society thinks. The biggest regret people have when they die is that they never lived. How time passes. I used to listen to this back in 2016 and 2017. The lines where she mentioned those who dream and those who suffer from heartache is what hit me the most. This is because I was suffering from loneliness and heartache caused from a break-up. It has been many years since I last listened to this song. I'm glad to say that I'm living a much better life with a wonderful person at my side. Although I got over my heartache and am living a better life, it's good to be back to this song and reflect on how things were.

Lyrics: [Verse 1: Mia, sung]
Leapt, without looking
And tumbled into the Seine
The water was freezing
She spent a month sneezing
But said she would do it again

[Chorus 1]
Here's to the ones who dream
Foolish as they may seem
Here's to the hearts that ache
Here's to the mess we make

[Verse 2]
She captured a feeling
Sky with no ceiling
The sunset inside a frame

She lived in her liquor
And died with a flicker
I'll always remember the flame

[Chorus 1]
Here's to the ones who dream
Foolish as they may seem
Here's to the hearts that ache
Here's to the mess we make

[Bridge]
She told me:
"A bit of madness is key
To give us new colors to see
Who knows where it will lead us?
And that's why they need us"

So bring on the rebels
The ripples from pebbles
The painters, and poets, and plays

[Chorus 2]
And here's to the fools who dream
Crazy as they may seem
Here's to the hearts that break
Here's to the mess we make

[Outro]
I trace it all back to then
Her, and the snow, and the Seine
Smiling through it
She said she'd do it again

Sometimes I say to myself, "Nobody writes truly great song lyrics anymore." And I think on the whole, there's truth to that. But then I play this. Just to remind myself there's a lie to it as well. As long as there's dreamers, there'll be somebody out there writing great lyrics. I just may not get to hear them. I'm grateful when I do.

Recently, a very honourable and favourable guard just passed away in our school. This song makes me remember him... i cried so much when I learned he died- he even had a mass dedicated for him, so ofcourse, I was crying so hard during mass.

Best song for dreamers. Well done Ryan and Emma as they acted well and showed that you can't get everything. You can either lose one of get one

Time is 00:15, was in bed with closed eyes, half asleep, listening all the lalaland songs one after another; suddenly heard "hears to the ones who dreeeeeeeam" ; eyes opened, finalized the decisions i was confused about... It's jan 2, 2023. Happy new year, really!! This movie had made me take decisions when I saw in theatre, and now AGAIN.. 🙂🙌

I used to listen to the music of the movie without actually watching the movie because I really enjoyed it. Now that I watched the film, this song has a completely different meaning to it that I never realised.

Thought the movie was overrated for some silly reason, but when I watched it, it touched my heart. It's a really great movie, that I recommend to everyone, especially to everyone out there who has been misunderstood or underestimated because of their dreams and/or goals. Here's to the fools who dream!

When I saw it in the movie, I also heard "sand" and thought it was weird- I am sure you're not the only one who made that mistake, and you had the humility to fix it so that's what counts! :-)

My aunt used to live in Paris I remember, she used to come home and tell us these stories about being abroad And I remember she told us that she jumped into the river once, barefoot She smiled Leapt, without looking And tumbled into the Seine The water was freezing She spent a month sneezing But said she would do it again Here's to the ones who dream Foolish as they may seem Here's to the hearts that ache Here's to the mess we make She captured a feeling Sky with no ceiling The sunset inside a frame She lived in her liquor And died with a flicker I'll always remember the flame Here's to the ones who dream Foolish as they may seem Here's to the hearts that ache Here's to the mess we make She told me "A bit of madness is key To give us new colors to see Who knows where it will lead us? And that's why they need us" So bring on the rebels The ripples from pebbles The painters, and poets, and plays And here's to the fools who dream Crazy as they may seem Here's to the hearts that break Here's to the mess we make I trace it all back to then Her, and the snow, and the Seine Smiling through it She said she'd do it again

Honestly probably the best scene of this movie. Emma Stone is an amazing actor. The raw emotion conveyed on her face as she sings this... is something else. She might not be the greatest singer in the world but she CAN carry a tune. Also show me someone beside her that looks like they lived that shit.
