This is NOT a Flaminia GT, it´s a Flaminia Pininfarina Coupe. The Flaminia GT was built by Touring. Nevertheless a very nice car.

Oh this brings back memories! I had a 68 2.8 3B. Chocolate brown with the red interior. Solid, hand made. It was magnificent to drive. So solid and responsive - but not very fast and very uneconomical. I had it for 15 years. Still miss it!

I know Lancia very well, I have owned four, I still have a 2000HF coupe and a Fulvia 1300S. Fantastic cars. Good luck with your hunting down a four door Flaminia. Cheers Bob

When I was younger my dad owned two of these, one in silver and the other in black. Both were of 1960 vintage. Quite something to have a car of that year with all around disc brakes with the rear brakes inboard, having 16 inch wheels and the transmission in the rear to provide equal front and rear weight distribution. These cars had, unfortunately, weak rear axles and they broke twice on the same car! Also, the throttle linkage from the gas pedal to the carburetor was the same as a lawn mower and it had a pinch point that broke frequently, got fairly good and fixing that problem and used a jump rope as a t temporary fix when it broke in traffic. Otherwise, the car handled and performed quite well and was a most enjoyable car.

Lovely to see this Flaminia Gt in more detail, especially as my brother has a project Gt waiting for its restoration. One thing I noticed Per, on your friends car as in your video is that one of the fuel hoses from the Carby looked quite cracked and perished. I would get that replaced ASAP, as you wouldn’t want it to fail and result in a engine bay fire. I agree with your comments on the Alfa 2600 sedan, but having driven a Fiat 2300 sedan I can say actually they are actually a pretty decent car, definitely not boring. For me I personally like it’s looks over the Flaminia sedan. The Flaminia Gt on the other hand, just like the Alfa 2600 and Fiat 2300 coupe is gorgeous.

IMHO Flaminias are a Lancia's high water mark. Engineering, design, craftsmanship ... Very special automobiles. Only drawback is also a point of pride, that Lancia's are engineered to their own philosophy and essentially require naturally gifted mechanics that 'get it'. (to borrow a phrase) Enjoy those loooonnng long days! Beautiful

I was a passenger on a similar car when I was 16 years old, travel from Milazzo Sicily to Senago a small just outside of Milano, what a beautiful machine, every time I read the word Lancia I'm thinking why Lancia is not Lancia anymore. What we have now? yes Chrysler 300c what a crap.

Questi pappagoni stranieri che so sempre a parlá male dell'Italia però poi vengono a fare rifornimento di pezzi storici come Lancia, Moto Guzzi, Alfa Romeo, tutti mezzi storici che loro si sognano e che noi svendiamo. Ho visto personalmente alla Fiera di Padova bisarche olandesi e tedesche caricare auto e moto in quantitá esagerate
