Makelele has played long enough in Spain to be in the all time best 11. Also Guardiola and Xavi are almost identical player so I don't understand why both have to be in the team. If one of them has to be included, it should be Guardiola who was more of an individual conductor than Xavi. Xavi had great help from the whole Barca team, especially the Iniesta and his best year were under, guess who? Guardiola Barca was the most collective team, with only Messi doing his stuff. The obsession with control the ball, with Xavi the leader, reached its peak only when Guradiolo took over. Any best 11 that has Xavi but not Iniesta is crazy. Xavi was a passer only and not even close to being the best passer of his generation.
