5+++++++++++++++ They just don't make t.v. like this anymore. Dick Cavett was my favorite interview show EVAR. He was intelligent with such a subtle humor, and he interviewed people with strong character and personality who were some of the best at their vocation. You pretty much had to be a thinker with passion to really understand him. He was not a commercial product.

This was too awesome. La Lupe is a legend. ❤ Later in life she converted to Christianity and lived in the Bronx, NY where I was born and grew up. She passed away in the early 1990s. 🕊

20 years ago, I wrote and directed a musical called, La Reina, La Lupe, this was way before KZbin, so I work for months interviewing people to learn about her and develop the character. Seen her in this video validates my research and I’m so glad I didn’t take the easy road using drugs as her demise as many artists stories end, She was so full of live, so innocent, so groundbreaking, that my choice as a writer was that she came from heaven to tell her “via crucis”, how she live her life is reflected in her music 100%, she was like this all the time, what a magical spirit, a true Icon as a women and a genius performer, I was in love with her back then and I’m in love now seen her enchanting this man. I didn't understand as a child why my Mom loved Dick Cavett, I thought his show was boring back then but not anymore. I guess I never saw this one! I bet those cookies were amazing. I love Cuban food, and Cuban folk. Wasn't expecting Dick to show off his well-toned torso at the end! I think I know another reason my mom "loved Dick". Nice! 😍

Yes. Perhaps to a child or a teenager he seems boring, but as an adult, he's so relaxed, never attached to notes or scripts, he got into actual spontaneous conversations. I still don't get how some hosts today keep their notes on the desk as guidelines and the questions they make are so dumb and often inappropiate.

If a human decides to become vegan, that's fine and that's their choice. Just don't impose veganism on your pet dogs and cats! They are carnivores and MUST eat meat. There is no vegetarian substitute for meat protein with the amino acids and micro-nutrients they need. I've seen too many vegans who say they love animals, but they will condemn their pets to a short life of owner-imposed illness by not feeding them what they need to survive. That's extremely cruel and ignorant.
