Le "Bodhicaryavatara" ou "La Marche vers l'éveil" est un poème composé par l'illustre Shantideva (687-763).
Il expose l'entrée dans la pratique des bodhisattvas - ces héros de l'éveil qui, se détournant du samsara, font le vœu de délivrer les êtres de la souffrance et de l'ignorance.
Shantideva y décrit l'aspiration à l'éveil, sa mise en œuvre et les bienfaits qui en découlent.

The "Bodhicaryavatara" or "The Way of the Bodhisattva" is a poem composed by the illustrious Shantideva (687-763).
It exposes the entry into the practice of the bodhisattvas - these heroes of awakening who, turning away from samsara, vow to deliver beings from suffering and ignorance.
Shantideva describes the aspiration for enlightenment, its implementation, and the benefits of enlightenment.
