Great video and thanks for highlighting the Purple line extension!! Really wish it would continue down to Santa Monica though.

Wow the sounds of the train when they slow down and then speed up. Creepy but cool.

I heard that new rolling stock has been ordered for the B and D lines. I believe that they will be delivered by the end of 2021 or the beginning of 2022.

I hate to see the current rolling stock go because I've been riding the B line since I was a baby. I practically grew up with these trains.

@@michaelbilgen2976 I already miss riding the P2020's and the P865 light rail trains on the Blue and Expo line. I remember riding these trains for the first time back in 2005 but at that time, it was only the Blue line and the Expo line wasn't around yet. I will miss the Breda A650's too when they retire from passenger service in Los Angeles. My favorite Breda A650's are the original ones numbered 501-530 because of the DC traction motor. These were built between the late 1980's and the early 1990's. I also ride these subway cars in the year of 2005.

How does someone overrun the station like that? Always wondered how that worked.

Most times a computer controls the trains but once every shift the operators are required to manually drive it to retain their skill set. When the computer is in play overshoots never happen. It simply happens because the operator hit the brakes too late or did not apply them enough to slow the train down in time.
@ramongamez3 жыл бұрын
Overshoots absolutely can happen when the train is computer controlled, if the operator senses that it's about to happen they have to switch to manual control and try to stop it in time.
