These girls have so much talent I saw the show during a band trip just a few weeks ago and loved it. i couldn't stop thinking about how amazing they were and how much farther they can take this act.I would love to see these girls in a few years to see how far they have progressed with their diabolos.

those weird guys in the background are artists as well. they usually have a bigger role in another act, but if you've seen cirque du soleil's shows you know there's always more than one thing happening on stage, and i think it gives the show a totally different feeling :) besides, they are there to help if something happens (if one of the diabolos escaped, for example)

I saw La Nouba last week, there were five of these girls in that show, so cute! They were amazing, felt so bad when one of the girls fell and started crying

Wow... 14 years after it was uploaded, KZbin just suggested this video to me! I've seen 4 different Cirque shows in my life and I believe La Nouba was truly the best of them all. Between 2000 and 2019 I saw it 11 times, and the new replacement show "Drawn to Life" just doesn't compare.

they don't often show it in the TV but they entertain people in audience during break. They are also have medic training, in case a performer gets injured, they are already on the stage to help them, pretty smart.

It's called an orchestra hit or orchestra stab. A common example is the opening hit of inferno from Firebird

@benjamin Parker have you heard the matching band version of the music for la nouba? It's crazy awesome! I wish my marching band could do it but they did a cirque du soleil show that had distorted in it in 2008. :( plus I don't think my director would do another cirque du soleil show for awhile. But I figured out some parts of distorted on the trumpet,sax and clarinet!
