@@NokkOnWood I think what he means is that there’s a lot of darkness in the world. The stars can’t light up the earth, but they can remind us that the light is still out there somewhere.

i found your channel some years ago through your nier automata covers, so it feels like a blessing that you made one for my favorite DE song. la revacholiere has lots of ambient noises that are probably hard to pull off on a piano but i think you did a wonderful job capturing its essence in this arrangement. thank you

Thanks, appreciated :) agree on the ambient noises, I found that as well while trying to make something out of tracks like Apartment Buildings/Coastal Shacks, some of the ambient sound is just impossible to replicate on a piano. This piece was not that bad in that regards, past the beginning it has very clear melody/harmony, which can be rare in this OST lol

Okay... Some person who does music good plz halp: At the end of bar 12 ( 0:41 ) There's that inverted Gb-something chord into C. I'm assuming I'm not crazy and that sounds like a downward motion despite going up in pitch, right? I know very little about music theory, how do it do that? I'm guessing it's because of the relationship with the Db? Db becomes the sound of the chord by dint of being the base note, so you head Db and C next to each other and somehow my brain recognizes that Db to C is a downward motion regardless of pitch? But it can't be that simple because if I just play Db -> C that doesn't sound like a downward motion to me... Sorry if I'm misusing the term downward motion, but hopefully you grok what I mean.

I can't say I hear the same thing in this particular instance (it's a clearly upward motion for me), but I have it happen to me on occasion, our brains can sometimes mess with our perception of pitch for different reasons.
