I suffered from acne for the longest period of time. Nothing seemed to work, neither the home made remedies nor the prescribed medications by a dermat. Being frustrated that I had to see a face every morning full of pimple scars and red pimples, I was ready to do anything to get back my original skin. I gave this a shot and by this I mean only the effaclar duo cream. To my utter surprise my acne started drying out after 3days of constant usage day and night. It just cleared my skin completely and even my pores became smaller. The scars did take a longer time to fade but they did. Call it a holy grail product, a magic potion whatever you may like but this product does what it claims. And like Debasree and many others I can guarantee you this will work. It is also great as a spot treatment. Good luck ladies! 😘

ch swarupa​ I used the duo(+), the European version of the product which has salicylic acid. The American one contains benzoyl peroxide. Coming to the second question, my breakouts did not worsen after using the product. I did not experience any side effects. But make sure that you don't neglect your basic skincare routine and just depend on the cream. Cleanse your face properly and apply a high SPF sunscreen alongwith the application of the cream. +ch swarupa I've been using it since last November. Btw I forgot to mention that although it was not very prominent, my skin did become a little red and brittle initially. Since it is exfoliating in nature and with constant usage a new layer of skin comes up, it may break out your skin or it can seem red, irritated. But it does show results with patience and again mind you a high SPF sunscreen is required to protect your newly growing skin. However if you don't want to risk applying it on your whole face use it as a spot treatment consistently on the specific problem ares or acne, it works just as fine. Hope that helps. 😊

I agree with you ! The effaclar foaming facewash have worked wonders for me ! It's my holy grail product. I have PCOD and had very little hope that it can reduce my pimples/acnes . But it did. My face is acne free now. However the spots have not gone. Anyway, I still very happy with the product. It is such a nice feeling when I touch my face and feel no pimples!!

Hey Swarupa ! Sorry for the delayed reply. I have used the la Roche posay effaclar foaming face wash ! The same one she shows in the video. That worked wonders for me. My acne never increased and it gradually got decreased. I have also used the cream (effaclar duo). I thought it to be okay. No miracle happened. Use the face wash. It's really good !

I have dry skin. I've used Effaclar duo + in the past. at first, it didn't seem to work but it showed results gradually. my skin became clearer, pores became smaller. and it's not at all heavy or bad to sensitive skin. but I won't be buying it again, purely because of the cost.

When I first used this product I had a little bit of acne scarring that I wanted to try and fade but other than that my skin was quite clear. After I used the product for about 4 days my skin broke out intensely and now I have quite a severe amount of acne around my mouth. Just wondering if this is has happened to anyone else? X

you are welcome i appreciate replaying your inqury , i have cystic acne, i have it in both cheeks , forehead and few in chin and jawline , one cheek and the forhead have ugly large red acne others just small acne which i can hide them with concelear you know,, i use so much products drugstore n highend which it got mye worse like even i stay at home i dont like to meet people you know but after using effclar duo + on the 3rd day the large acne gone , redness reduced small pimple gone , still have scrars and get new small pimples here and there , just finished my 2nd week im so much confident , my makeup apply really good and im sure i will see huge improvement in the next weeks , and yeah i use cleanser from the same line .

Wow that's really great to hear...I'm also willing to use effaclar duo(+) ..But in some reviews they said that after 1 or 2 weeks they got purging of there acne in the sense that all hidden impurities under the skin will come to the surface of skin as cystic acne but continues use of duo(+) about 6 weeks there skin got clear and beautiful...But I'm scared of the initial stage which make skin worse as they said. After seeing ur reply I'm feeling good but still in bitty confusion and scar...

Ermmm I don't think it happened to me... I just use it twice a day, morning before i do my make up and night before going to bed. And the results just shows... Perhaps this product works differently for different skin types...

For some people in the second week of there usage of this made there skin purging in the scene of all the impurities coming to the surface as a pustule acne after continues usage of 6 weeks of the same duo(+) they got beautiful skin...I'm so thankful to Deba for giving review on this product...I'm having acne on cheeks and very tiny bumps on my jaw line due to pcod so I'm in the way of searching the product to my acne and acne marks...But I'm bitty scared to use duo(+) after reading the other reviews...Don't know what to do I'm in a confusion...

i am currently using la rouche posay effaclar duo +and it is not working on me also it has caused few breakout i completed half of the tube but still no change ..i have a combo skin....and i think this is expensive for quantity...you can better go for other options like vichy,sebamed...also i have acne aand few scaring on my cheek ...this cream is just making my skin smooth and after few minutes then face becomes dry ..

Hello. I just subscribed to your chanel. I loved your videos! I am really willing to start a regimen with LaRoche-Posay and I am in need of your assistance. I am 45 yo with combo skin. My forehead is dehydrated, oily T-zone and the rest of my complex is normal. No wrinkles yet, not acne-prone, but scarring from childhood chicken pox and 2-3 pigmentation spots feom the sun (teenage years). Will the Effaclair system be too drying for me? I feel so sad saying this, but even la roche posay hasn't worked for my acne. 😭 I had extremely high hopes while buying and using all these products, but unfortunately my acne has just worsened. And i have been using this for quite a long time now.

Use Cetaphil face wash and lotion. For acne use benzoyl peroxide. It worked wonders for me, it may dry or reddened ur skin. Bt it works.

komal dhabekar LRP IS THE BEST neutrogena breaks me out so much while LRP helps a lot with overall care i don't like the Duo(+) though. I like Clinique blemish control a lot more. 💜
