Hi Jacob, very nice video man! Id like your help here, since u had a skwama. Im 45 EU size on approach shoes and dont have a store here in Brazil to try some climbing shoes. I have a 41 EU Skwama, its a bit painful for my very wide foot, but ive been using it for 3 years and doing good on small edges, short routes, boulder and overhanging. Bought a 41 EU size katana - new model, but was a bad fitting (my toe was flat inside the shoe, while very narrow on the sides). So i sold it and bought a used 42 EU katana - old model, from a friend. Been doing great with this one on long routes, but feel like i coud go a half number smaller. Now i have the skwama 41 and katana 42 - old model, im thinking about getting a testarossa and selling my katana since its very worn out. What do you recommend? What did u notice between the skwama and testarossa? sry for bad english and huge comment! :) cheers

so, I have a narrow foot. Using 42EU on a street shoe. Should I go 2 sizes down on testarossa? Or 2.5 because my narrow foot?

living in Yosemite and during this covid pandemic hard to get to a climbing store. I bought these shoes still breaking them in but I was thinking of getting tc pros for my more moderate crack climbing escapades

hi man! Have you bought testarossa? What would you recommend for the size?

Hi, I got myself a testarossa size 40 recently (my sneaker size is 42). My feet are wide and high volume. I found it really hard and painful to put on these shoes on my first bouldering session with these shoes. Do you have any idea on how to accelerate the break in process? Did you face the same problem as me? thank you.

Hey, thanks for the comment. My advice would be to put the shoes on and watch a movie. I actually did that with my most recent pair of shoes. Also, plastic bags are super underrated for getting the shoes on at first.

@@jacobmetzger-levitt9022 Update: I took my testarossa for a shower too. I see my testarossa is has stretched a bit. Maybe I should do a movie night with my testarossa too lol. thank you!
@jacobmetzger-levitt90224 жыл бұрын
In the future you should avoid the shower technique with most shoes as it will compromise the integrity of the material and potentially decrease the life of the shoe

There are very specific exceptions like the Butora Sensas due to the construction of the shoe.

how does it perform on vertical climbing? I really like this shoes but I do not climb overhangs for now
@jacobmetzger-levitt90224 жыл бұрын
They perform fine on vertical terrain, I actually think the Testarossas shine on vert more than overhangs in my experience. They wouldn't be my first choice for slabs, but they do well on them too.

@@jacobmetzger-levitt9022 hey Cole. Thanks for the great review, currently considering these shoes.. Very little experience buying climbing shoes, as im new. I’m a little wary of US shoe sizes as even within US companies, a 10.5 might translate to 11! My size is usually 10.5-11 for example depending on if I wear nike or brooks for example. SO, given this dilemma. I totally understand your explanation of 1.5 size or 2 size down depending on your preference.. But I’m at a crossroads with my size.. I dont have a store to try them on in. Would you be able to measure how long your feet are for reference? From my big toe to my heel, I am ~10.7 inches. Putting me right b/t 10.5 and 11. Any help would be appreciated!!

@@jacobmetzger-levitt9022 what would be your choice for slightly slabby walls with micro edging (not much smearing)? Im trying to decide between Katana Laces and Testarossa..any advice?

Hi can you help me what size should i buy? My casual shoe size is 42EU is 40,5 too big?
@jacobmetzger-levitt90224 жыл бұрын
Hmm. My casual size is 44 and I went down to a 42. They have blown out a bit too much so I would recommend going to a 39.5. The thing is, my pain tolerance is ridiculous so I'd recommend 2 sizes down for you. Possibly 2.5-3. It also depends on your foot shape. If it's high volume I'd say go 1.5 sizes down, but if it's low volume I'd say you should probably look for a different shoe

@@jacobmetzger-levitt9022 thank you for your imput :) my foot is small in volume basically its pretty narrow and i do need laces to be tightened down pretty much on my other shoes
@jacobmetzger-levitt90224 жыл бұрын
If I were you, I might check out the LS muira instead. They have a women's/lv version. I haven't used them so I can't really speak to their sizing or performance.

@@jacobmetzger-levitt9022 the problem is that everything else is sold out exept those edit: and muira lime which are even more expensive but only slightly
@jacobmetzger-levitt90224 жыл бұрын
I thought the Testarossas went for 199 usd and the Muiras around 165ish
