I took the bus to work yesterday but There wasn't a lot of traffic because There weren't many people to work. There are many good restaurants near office so I don't have to worry something eat. 사실 쉬운표현이면서도 헷깔리는 표현이었는데 딱 정리해주셨네요 감사드립니다!!! 무의식적으로 그곳에/거기에 ~가 있다 로 해석하는 경향이 있었거든요. 쌤 near 과 nearby 쓰임에 대해서도 정리해주실 수 있을까요? near은 명사 앞에만 쓸 수 있고 nearby는 명사의 앞 뒤에 다 쓸 수있다라고 설명되어있는걸 봤는데 맞나요?

## Lesson 013 **** - 뒤에 오는 단어의 단수, 복수 유무에 따라 be동사를 결정한다. - there is(are) a lot of ~ : ~~이 많다. - 실제로 잘 쓰려면 “많은 사람들이 있어요”이 아니라 “사람이 많아요”로 해석하는게 좋다 - car는 셀 수있으니까 are, traffic(교통, 교통량)은 셀 수 없어서 is - time은 셀 수없는 명사임. 횟수를 나타내는 경우 빼고. - “이 근처에” near here / nearby (절대로 nearby here라고 하면 안 됨. 어딜 기준으로 하는지가 내포되어있는 부사) - there isn’t a lot of ~ / there aren’t a lot of~ : ~가 별로 없다 (양은 is, 수는 are) **** 1. 사람이 많아요 (많은 사람들이 있어요) 2. 사람이 있어요. 3. 차가 많아요. 4. 차가 막혀요. 확실히 가장 기본적인 블록부터 쌓아가니깐 느낌이 달라요! 뭔가 영어 문장을 들을 때나 볼 때 흐릿한 480p의 느낌을 받았다면 이제는 확실한 1080p 의 느낌을 갖어 가는 느낌이라 공부에 쉼표가 아닌 방점을 찍는 느낌이라 뿌듯함도 늘어가네요!!! 항상 감사합니다!

예전에 토플책에선가...many는 부정문에 어울린다고 하면서, 친구가 많다고 할때는 I have many friends. 보다 I have a lot of friends.라고 하라던데요. 이 말이 맞나요? 그럼 There are many good restaurants. 보다는 a lot of good restaurants라고 해야 할까요?
