Great to see a production again which has not been ruined by a clock nailed to the wall, motorcycles racing round the stage, and sex scenes interpolated because the producer thinks it means something.

Agree! A big part of enjoying opera is the story-temporary scenography and the stage costumes. The giant clock or the modern clothing makes me feel like a little child. Someone has to tell her what the story means.
