It touches perfection. Undoubtedly the best performance. Straight out of a fairy tale, really. And the fact that it's a simple in-room recording makes it even more unbeatable. I discovered this performance years ago and it would be unfair if I didn't add a comment of deep appreciation of this masterpiece. Congratulations to THE performer.

thank you. I was trying to figure out what sort of accordion yann tiersen had used (I didn't think it was the piano type), and that's how I came across this. your accordion has a lovely tone, and you play it very well. thanks very much for posting this.

I think Tiersen uses a classical button accordion (a chromatic one). The sound often depends on the tunning of the instrument, more than the instrument itself. Mine is a Borelli, a diatonic from Italia.
