La voce in bellezza - International Opera Studio Zurich (2011)

The Zurich Opera operates an international opera studio that each year allows twenty young singers from all over the world to fine-tune their skills and become qualified performers. This is a pool of young talents for the Zurich Opera as well as many other opera houses. The artistic coach is the Mexican tenor Francisco Araiza. For 15 years he has been one of the leading tenors on the world's opera stages.

The soprano really didn't even know who Araiza was?? Yikes... Like being a pianist and not knowing who Marta Argerich is... I would be dying for the opportunity of studying with him!

Che belle lezioni! I love this type of personal tutoring on how to deal with the technicalities of the voice and sounds. The pianist is amazing to pick up lesson by lesson and help dissect each portion of the creation. Tres alumnos y un maestro. La soprano Camille Butcher tiene una muy hermosa voz, y una estupenda técnica. Sobran algunas correcciones del Mtº Araiza, cuándo la soprano está emitiendo correctamente su voz, y su canto es bello. Quizá un poco más de "picardía" en el aria de Mussetta. El tenor japones, con todos mis respetos hacia él, esta falto totalmente de técnica, del conocimiento de la preyección de la voz. Muy pronto para asistir a clases magistrales, ya sea con este maestro o con otro cualquiera. Y en cuánto al bajo-barítono George Humphreys posée una bella voz, que maneja con seguridad técnica, y pocos consejos se pueden dar a una persona con estas condiciones vocales. No se la "manía" que tienen los maestros de andar tocándoles la cara a los alumnos mientras cantan, y hablándoles muy poco (o nada) de técnica vocal. Es mi humilde opinión.
