Katrina, Sandy and Helene were once in a lifetime events. Santa Ana winds and dry weather in Southern California has been around since the Spanish were here and is a common event, not an anomaly. This ABC/Disney reporter yelling "climate change" doesn't change that. Yes, the winds were unusually fierce and yes they were unlucky that they had a dry December that followed two wet winters, but these conditions are hardly unusual in California. A dry winter following a wet winter is particularly dangerous thorughout California because you have a lot of dead brush and grass. But this is nothing unusual. The Santa Ana winds this year were intense, but not historic, the weather in SoCal has been dry which is not unusual at all. The suggestion that there was nothing that could be done is irresponsible. The suggestion that this is due to "climate change" ( i.e. its all Trump's fault ) is a lie.

FACT,I lived in Magalia CA which was also devastated in the 2018 CAMP FIRE my kids went to school across the bridge in Paradise.Red Cross,Salvation Army and many others stepped in right away,Walmart In Chico CA opened up their parking lot for the communities affected by the fire and it was a campground.Trump declared the fire as a disaster and FEMA stepped in.As far as the other fires I can’t speak for,wasn’t there but I CAN SPEAK ON WHAT I KNOW ,Trump did NOT hold back federal aid for 2018 fire NORTHERN CA.Since then water restrictions have been-set fourth by the state of CA in some counties more restrictive than others these past few years,during the months of may through August you can be fined for going over your household limit.FACTS

Still to this day the governor refuses to accept that land management is desperately needed for many areas in California. His green policies and his refusal to disturb mother nature have put millions at risk all in the name of the elite environmentalist who have huge amounts of power in the California government. The reports are probably correct the firefighters stood very little chance to fight these fires, but had the proper land management been taking more seriously over the last 10-15 years the fires might not have been able to reach the ferocity that they did.

Here are a few other relevant facts. - Funding was received for additional reservoirs that were not built. - Having that empty reservoir filled could have helped with the water pressure to some extent. - No valid reason for saltwater not being used (see “what’s going on with shipping” last video for more). - Santa Ana winds occur every year. - Insurance companies have known for years, this has been forecasted for weeks, yet the government didn’t see it coming.

Steven, Most people don't understand, that Southern California is really a desert that relies on irrigation that brought it to what it is today. Southern California is a desert! These assertions that global warming is causing these disasters can be questioned based on the population has grown so much in this desert with all of the shrubs and trees that have been planted over the last 75 years have got to the point where vegetation is so prominent. When the residential areas were planned, there was not any thought of what to do during fire situations. Without understanding and I want to re-emphasize, Southern California is a desert!

During the late summer and currently we have what we call Santa Ana winds and they come from the East. What people don't realize who don't live in Southern California. When you have the ocean breeze, it brings moisture from the ocean.. when the winds come from the East. As I said, they're called the Santa Ana winds because it comes from the East. There is no moisture and it's extremely dry. That's what we have today and the fires that are associated with it. Every year we have fires from the Santa Ana winds. They are usually man-made by an arsonist or by the electric company and a transformer blowing out and starting a fire. Because California liberals prohibit cutting trees down or clearing land. In addition, they don't bring water from the north down to Southern California. As much as they should, our reservoirs in Southern California are empty because of the reluctance of our Governor Gavin newsom. Newsom. I hope this gives you some insight. The challenges we have from progressive unscientific policies within this state. Los Angeles spends $1.2 billion for the homeless and almost half just for our fire department. Gives you an idea how messed up we are.

Fires are happening everywhere is California. Over the long haul (decades), the rains are coming later in the year and much of the trees and brush are drying. So, I wonder if we can all agree that climate change is happening. This is not an easy fix - just go to plan (instill government policies) for tomorrow to work with climate change or try to slow it down (if possible).

Well here we are climate change. We dont know whar the climate was before we started keeping records. What we do know is that a lot of money was spent, and also there are lot more people living there. Now we need to look at what we will have to do to rebuild while looking at different methods of building. and land management. Nature has a way of cleaning things up, the indians use to start fires, so maybe we need to look at that doing it when the weather is conducted to that , but look at the whole picture not just one little part. We will need to spend the money wisely and not let corrupt people get away with crap.

Here's how crazy California is when it comes to taxes: if i do a consulting job for a company whose headquarters is in California, they tax what i make, and i live in Hawaii. And the state's supreme court has ruled that it's legal, and i have to pay it.
