Laboe | Sonniger Morgen am schönen Strand

Seit dem 1. Mai habe ich ein Deutschlandticket. Mega - damit konnte ich in 1 1/2 Stunden von Elmshorn mit dem Zug und Fahrrad direkt an die Ostsee in den schönen Küstenort Laboe fahren. Fotoapparat und Drohne sind wie immer dabei gewesen. Ich mag den gepflegten Strand mit den vielen bunten Strandkörben - und auch darüber hinaus hat der Ort einiges zu bieten - vor allem auch eine lange Geschichte.
Der Ort wurde 1226 angelegt und erstmalig historisch erwähnt. Erliegt direkt an der Mündung in die Kieler Förde und ist mit dem Fahrrad von Kiel aus in 45 Minuten zu erreichen. Alternativ fährt aber auch ein Fährschiff von Kiel nach Laboe. Zu den bekanntesten Sehendwürdigkeiten im Ort zählt das 72 Meter hohe Ehrenmal der Marine. Es soll an die gefallenen Seeleute aller Nationen in den beiden Weltkriegen erinnern. Direkt am Ehrenmal ist auch ein altes U-Boot ausgestellt, das besichtigt werden kann. Der Strand ist sehr gut für Kinder geeignet. Vom feinen Sandstrand kommt man in sehr flaches Wasser indem man sich gut austoben und abkühlen kann.

Since May 1, I have the "Deutschlandticket" - a ticket which allows travelling with local trains and busses through Germany. Isn't this fantastic? It give the opportunity to go in 1 1/2 hours from Elmshorn by train and bike directly to the Baltic Sea in the beautiful coastal town of Laboe. Camera and drone have been there as always. I like the well-kept beach with the many colorful beach chairs - and even beyond that, the place has a lot to offer - especially a long history.
The place was laid out in 1226 and mentioned historically for the first time. It lies directly at the mouth of the Kiel Fjord and can be reached by bike from Kiel in 45 minutes. Alternatively, there is a ferry from Kiel to Laboe. One of the most famous sights in the town is the 72-meter-high naval memorial. It is intended to commemorate the fallen sailors of all nations in the two world wars. Directly at the memorial there is also an old submarine on display, which can be visited. The beach is very suitable for children. From the fine sandy beach you get into very shallow water where you can have a good romp and cool off.
