As a baby nurse (NICU), you don’t know how much gifts mean to us. We don’t do it for gifts of course, but I got a gift a couple weeks ago and just about cried on the spot 😭 welcome baby Ezra!!!!

@@nicolefisher4779 I don’t think they are expecting patient to to give them something but it’s still a nice gesture and it doesn’t have to be an expensive gift it could be anything a thank you card, a gift card or anything. My little sister is a nurse and once she called me after her shift she was so so happy cuz she had one of her worst day and a patient’s wig brought them some sweets and stayed a couple of minutes to chat with them and it made her day brighter. It really can be anything but it’s not obligatory

That is so thoughtful of you Nitraa for bringing baskets for the nurses! As a nurse I can attest that they are lifesavers especially as we sometimes forget to pack lunch or we are running out the door and don’t have time to pack anything so snacks are definitely welcome anytime. I know I was super grateful to the wonderful nurses that helped deliver my little boy and wished I could have done something to show my appreciation and thanks for all they did. I love the way Ezra stopped crying as soon as they layed him on you. He was so content that even though someone was still trying to clean his head he remained chill and calm. It's like he instantly knew "Oh mommy's got me. Everything is ok now." That was so sweet to see. And you are so thoughtful to bring snacks and gifts for your own nurses as well as the other nurses.
