I used to live in BN so I had to give this a watch! Nice video! There's a few good spots around BN to catch freight action, Lemme know if you want some spots. In Lake Co now, definitely enjoying your videos!

Thanks for watching! GF lives down there so I make it down on average a weekend a month. I’ll be down again in about a month, if the weather is nice I’ll be out somewhere one day.

I believe Amtrak has to add these baggage cars to get the minimum required number of axles. With four of five passenger cars, they don't meet it.

Ahhhhhh there it is, it’s a UP requirement in Missouri. That’s why only the combined Illinois/Missouri trains have them, not the Illinois-only runs. Thank you!

240 is not a CP train that goes into Bensenville or passes it. That’d be either 246, 248 or 254.

I clearly heard it called 240 on the radio. Whether they were shortening it or not I can’t say, but I know what I heard. It’s not the only time I’ve heard B-17 calling that symbol either. It’s also possible that they meant 230, which was 240 before the symbol changes a year ago (every once in a while I still hear a G, old habits die hard), but that still doesn’t explain why it was up on the C&M.
