Labor ‘just blame the former government’

Sky News Senior Reporter Caroline Marcus has called out the Albanese government for blaming the former Coalition government on its own failures.
New data from the Department of Home Affairs shows more than 2,000 asylum seekers flew into Australia in May.
It is the highest of any month under the Albanese government and comes close to the record of 2,800 set in 2018.
“They just blame the former government,” Ms Marcus told Sky News host James Macpherson.
“They say it’s all Peter Dutton’s fault.”

The problem with giving the shops the opportunity to decide means that the workers don't get a say. Do you really think that the likes of Jerry Harvey will close his stores? Like working on Easter Sunday, it's the staff that have the choice but you know what happens to those who say they wish not to work? Jerry will say, I can't run the store if 50% of the staff want if off so staff are indirectly coerced to work. I spoke to a check out person on that 1st Easter Sunday how come you are working? Their response was that if she said she didn't want to work then she would be not given as many future shifts. You can't trust employers to do the right thing. Good on Chris Minnes. Since retail was allowed to open through the Easter weekend, my family has never spent Easter Sunday together - which you know is a most important day.
