When a baby is birth why is the nose suctioned? Is the baby breathing in the womb?

They breath through the imblical cord that connects to the baby’s belly button and inside the mom

In a way, yes, they are breathing in the womb. They will take practice breaths, pulling and pushing fluid into their lungs before their born. So when they are born and they take their first true breath of air, it starts pushing all that fluid from their lungs and nose out. Similar to someone who's been recessitated after drowning, and they start coughing up all the water from their lungs. Sectioning a baby is just supposed to help them take better breaths so they get better oxygen faster.
