If Starmer lasts beyond Christmas I think Labour MP's will get twitchy if the next set of local elections shows their party losing councils. There are locals every year until the GE so the twitchier they get, the more likely they are to seek a new leader. For me, though, it's not just Starmer - all but one Labour MP is now tainted beyond redemption. Those who voted to withdraw the WFA or who abstained are bad enough, but the ones who cheered and fist-bumped when the vote passed is something I can never forget.
