To sum up the Todoroki family situation: All Rei wanted was to be happy with a family despite Enji (Endeavor), financially trapping her into marriage because he wanted her Quirk(she only tried to interfere when she saw shoto being brutalized during their training sessions). Toya/Dabi wanted his fathers approval and attention because that’s what kids are they NEED to feel loved by their parents, but Enij didn’t interpret any kind of affection towards him especially when his Flames started hurting him because of that he lost any desire to turn him into a hero (For Touya that was a way they bonded, Touya believed that if he became a hero his father would love him so despite everything he still tried to master his abilities) Endeavor could have taught him to make small flames. Fumi (second oldest) was a second thought to Enji, she took on the reponsablity of helping her mom look after her siblings, even more when her nanny and mom left. Fumi took the role of a care taker, meaning she had to take care of most things around the house(she would try to build a relationship with her father, and tried to help help her brothers build one too but it was clear they wanted anything to do with him) deep down Fumi wants what her mother wanted, a loving family. But her attempt had a more fail than pass result except her finally having her brothers together talk. Natsu was neglected and because of what he saw that day, with his mom and Endeavor; he wanted nothing to do with him, even attempting to cut contact with him with going to medical school but he tried when started to get to know shoto who he was always isolated from seeing (he knew fumi wanted him to forgive their dad and have a better chance of happiness with the family but he still can’t shake of the pain he felt). Shoto was his father’s favorite (in a toxic family that’s not always a good thing) he was isolated from everyone his siblings and his classmates because of how Endeavor treated him, his reasons for being a hero were because that’s all his father ever taught him and all he ever knew. When Rei was sent away Shoto officially did whatever he could to stop himself from using his “father’s abilities” because of trauma he had experienced from his father’s flames. (They all have baggage and it’s sad -sorry I couldn’t explain Shoto very well)

Так ли должен себя вести родитель желавший этого ребенка? Он был для него всего лишь инструментом, на тот момент жизни 😢 Да потом ему аукнулось то что он считал жену и детей средствами достижения цели, но если б не аукнулось подумал ли он что поступил плохо? Осознал бы, что чужие жизни и мечты ценны? Мол одеты, обуты, что вы от меня ещё хотите то? Такая логика верна лишь для нищих, где дети видят с каким трудом прокорм достается. if you don't like the song just stop listening to it. And you are right, it was Rei who wanted to have more children to improve her marriage and make a happy family, however after the birth of Fuyumi, the birth of natsuo was already more forced and by that point Rei had already totally lost the desire in her family, but she had Shoto and finally her mental stasis began to weaken. Not to mention the countless postpartum depressions she had to feel, as she had just had Shoto when Toya happened, she ended up the way she did.
